Canton Fair interpreter and buyer support in Guangzhou

More than an interpreter at the booth: I prepare your halls and questions before the Fair, keep the conversations clear on the day and send you organised supplier notes afterwards.

The short answer

What does a Canton Fair interpreter cost?

The organiser’s own interpretation service lists English booth interpreting at CNY 600 per day and exhibition escort interpreting at CNY 800 per day. My support costs €299 (about US$340) for one full Fair day per corporate team, or €790 (about US$890) for a three-day Business Sprint.

The difference is the work around the language. An organiser interpreter helps you talk to the exhibitor in front of you. I also help you decide which exhibitors deserve your time, prepare the questions that matter for your product and turn each conversation into notes your team can act on. If you only need words translated at a booth you have already chosen, the organiser’s service may be the better value — and I will tell you so.

Transparent pricing

Two ways to work the Fair together

Prices are per corporate team, not per person. Badges, travel, hotels and any specialist inspection or testing stay separate, so you always see what you are paying for.

How a Fair day runs

From your brief to a usable shortlist

  1. 1

    Before you fly

You send the product, target price, quantities and must-have requirements. I prepare the halls, questions and a short glossary of your product terms.

  2. 2

    Morning at the complex

We meet at an agreed entrance after badge collection and start with the highest-priority halls while booths are quieter.

  3. 3

    At each booth

Your questions are asked the same way every time, and prices, minimum order quantities and lead times are read back so nothing is misunderstood.

  4. 4

    After the day

You receive the notes: who you met, what they offered and which claims still need samples, documents or an independent check.

Before you book anyone

Your interpreter needs their own badge

The organiser allows a limited number of accompanying people per buyer and phase, including at most one interpreter, and each person needs to be registered with the organiser in advance. Plan this before you arrive. The full rules are explained in the Canton Fair guide.

Next fair: 141st Canton Fair, spring 2027

Expected phases are 15–19 April, 23–27 April and 1–5 May 2027. The organiser has not confirmed these dates yet, so send me your preferred phase early and we will confirm once the official calendar is published.

Canton Fair interpreter — FAQ

How much does a Canton Fair interpreter cost?

The organiser’s interpretation service lists English booth interpreting at CNY 600 per day and exhibition escort interpreting at CNY 800 per day. My Canton Fair support, which adds preparation, exhibitor prioritisation and written notes, is €299 per Fair day per team or €790 for three days.

Is the organiser’s interpreter enough?

It can be. If you already know which exhibitors to meet and your team can lead the technical and commercial questions, a booth interpreter may be all you need. Buyer support is more useful for a first visit, a broad product category or a team that needs comparable notes afterwards.

Which languages do you work in?

At the booths, an experienced Chinese–English interpreter I arrange works alongside your team, so you can speak directly with each exhibitor. Briefings, notes and follow-up are in English, or in Slovak for Slovak and Czech teams. Highly technical or legal interpreting is quoted separately.

Will you negotiate with suppliers for me?

I help you ask clear questions and make sure prices and terms are understood on both sides. You decide what to accept, sign contracts directly and control every payment.

How far ahead should I book?

As early as you can, so there is time to register badges, book a hotel near the complex and prepare the brief. For a spring 2027 phase, send a short brief by the end of January. Shorter notice is possible when dates are still free.
