1. Who we are (controller)

We are the controller deciding how personal data is processed on guideshenzhen.com.
2. What data we process
- Form data (enquiry / contact): your name, email address, the country you optionally provide, your selected interest, and the content of your message.
- Technical and source data when you visit (e.g. anonymised statistics, landing page, traffic source and campaign tags). When you submit a form, the traffic source may be stored with your enquiry so we know which channel it came from.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Responding to your enquiry, preparing a service proposal and performing an ordered service — steps taken at your request / contract / legitimate interest.
- Sending you information or a newsletter you asked for — your consent.
- Improving the website through statistics — your consent (cookie banner).
Submitting an enquiry asks us to send an operational receipt and correspondence needed to answer that enquiry. It does not subscribe you to marketing. Marketing subscription is optional on enquiry forms. On a dedicated newsletter or checklist form, the button and adjacent wording clearly state that clicking subscribes the address to the described emails. We record the form, source, time and disclosure version as evidence of consent. Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link.
4. Who we share data with (processors)
We use providers that support this service: Klaviyo, Inc. for enquiry events and consent-based email subscriptions; Hostinger for web hosting and server email; and Google Analytics 4 for website measurement. Providers may process data outside the European Economic Area using the safeguards available for that provider, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. Google Consent Mode starts with analytics and advertising storage denied. Before analytics consent, Google may receive cookieless measurement signals; analytics cookies are enabled only after consent. The English site uses its own GA4 property and English enquiries are tagged with language = en and the source domain.
5. International visitors (EU, UK & others)
This site may be visited from the EU, the United Kingdom and elsewhere. Where the UK GDPR or other local privacy rules apply, we handle requests using the rights described below and any additional mandatory local rights.
6. How long we keep data
- Enquiries and service correspondence: while the enquiry or service order is active and afterwards only for as long as needed for follow-up, contractual, accounting or legal-claim purposes.
- Consent-based email updates: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
- Analytics data: according to the retention period configured in the dedicated Your Guide in China GA4 property; identifiers are not intentionally added to analytics events.
- Security and delivery logs: only for the operational period needed to investigate abuse or failed delivery, then removed under the hosting provider’s log-retention process.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and to object to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time. Send requests to ricky@guideshenzhen.com.
8. Supervisory authority
If you believe we process your data incorrectly, you may lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic at dataprotection.gov.sk. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to contact your local supervisory authority.
