Cookie policy
What cookies we use and how you can manage your consent. This page is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. They help the site work and let us measure traffic.
Cookies and tools we use
- Essential — needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice (stored locally in your browser). No consent required.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 — measures traffic so we can improve the site. Your Guide in China uses a separate GA4 property from the Slovak-language site. Google Consent Mode v2 starts with analytics and advertising storage denied. Before consent, Google may receive cookieless measurement signals; analytics cookies such as
_gaare enabled only after analytics consent. - Email delivery — Klaviyo — the browser does not load Klaviyo onsite tracking. When you submit an enquiry, our server sends the enquiry event to Klaviyo so we can respond. If you explicitly request the arrival checklist or email updates, the server also records that subscription consent.
- Advertising — this version of the site does not load Meta Pixel or a browser advertising tag. Advertising storage, user data and personalisation remain denied. If advertising technology is added later, this page and the consent choices must be updated before it is enabled.
How to manage consent
On your first visit we show a banner with equal Accept and Decline options. If you decline, no analytics or marketing cookies are stored. You can change your choice any time via Cookie settings in the footer, or by clearing this site’s data (cookies and local storage) in your browser — the banner will then appear again.
