What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. They help the site work and let us measure traffic.

Cookies and tools we use

• Essential — needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice (stored locally in your browser). No consent required.
• Analytics — Google Analytics 4 — measures visits, traffic source, page and article engagement, scroll and active-time milestones, navigation and call-to-action clicks, selected services, trip-builder and budget interactions, downloads, contact-channel clicks and form progress or errors. This helps us understand which content and services are useful. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers or message contents to Analytics. Your Guide in China uses a separate GA4 property from the Slovak-language site. Google Consent Mode v2 starts with analytics and advertising storage denied. Before consent, Google may receive cookieless measurement signals; analytics cookies such as _ga are enabled only after analytics consent.
• Email delivery — Klaviyo — the browser does not load Klaviyo onsite tracking. When you submit an enquiry, our server sends the enquiry event to Klaviyo so we can respond. If you explicitly request the arrival checklist or email updates, the server also records that subscription consent.
• Advertising — this version of the site does not load Meta Pixel, Google Ads or another browser advertising tag. Google Signals, advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation remain disabled. If advertising technology is added later, this page and the consent choices must be updated before it is enabled.

How to manage consent

On your first visit we show a banner with equal Accept and Decline options. If you decline, no analytics or marketing cookies are stored. You can change your choice any time via Cookie settings in the footer, or by clearing this site’s data (cookies and local storage) in your browser — the banner will then appear again.

Measurement choices and request reliability

We measure section views and service choices, without sending form messages, names, phone numbers or email addresses to Analytics. Before analytics consent, limited cookieless signals may be sent to Google; campaign attribution is kept only in page memory. After consent, non-personal campaign labels may be stored for the browser session. Advertising click identifiers are not saved by our attribution code.

Changing your choice to Decline removes this site’s analytics cookies and stored campaign attribution. A non-identifying request token prevents duplicate form delivery. Server-side request hashes are retained for up to seven days for retry protection; temporary rate-limit records are removed after they expire. Google Analytics user and event retention is set to 14 months.
